Imagine Nepal (IN) is a non-political, non-profit making and connection-based social movement dedicated to help and create the positive future of Nepal and Nepalese established by the practioners of Appreciative Inquiry in 2001. IN believes that positive transformation of the society is possible through the enhancement of positive attributes inquiring and tapping strengths, positive potentials and imagination of people.

Co-organizers:

Capital College and Research Center  

Capital College and Research Center(CCRC) is a reputed college in Kathmandu having the dictum "Quest for Knowledge with Wisdom" and core values of integrity, self-governance and responsibility. CCRC is adopting Appreciative Inquiry in its education and management system, and is offering plus two and bachelors degree in Science, Management, Humanities and Business Studies.

Kathmandu 2020  

Kathmandu 2020 is a volunteer based campaign that is founded with in inquiry "What can we as individuals do to make a difference in the future of our Valley?" It is focused on discovering life giving forces and energies in the Valley, catalyzing collaborative efforts and providing a forum for people to share and act on their vision.  

Mountain Spirit  

Mountain Spirit, a non government organization, aims to improve the living standard of the mountain communities by helping to preserve the environment, culture and identity of mountain regions through the participation of local people in needs-based development activities. It practices 'Appreciative and Participatory Approach' in implementing its programs.

Nepal Appreciative Inquiry National Network 

Nepal Appreciative Inquiry National Network (NAINN) is a horizontal and autonomously functioning organization which is striving for "Positive Societal Transformation' through Imagine Initiative movements. NAINN, guided by the principle of Appreciative Inquiry, facilitates to form imagine initiatives, ties up them into a web-net, and builds their capacity to nurture the life giving forces for a New Nepal.  

Pragya Management Group

Pragya Management is a consulting company providing organizational development services to a number of organizations in Nepal and in South Asia . Pragya's core working principle is Appreciative Inquiry that organizes consulting and educational programs by weaving together the eastern wisdom with cutting edge modern management approaches.



Lead facilitator's Profile:


Prof. David L. Cooperrider is Professor of Organizational Behavior at the Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University . He is the founding father of Appreciative Inquiry developed through his PhD work entitled " Appreciative Inquiry: Towards a Methodology for Understanding and Enhancing Organizational Innovation from Case Western Reserve University . He is author and co-author of several books including Appreciative Inquiry: A Positive Revolution in Change ; and his work has been covered in The New York Times, Fast Company, Human Resources Executive Magazine and Training Magazine . He has served as researcher and consultant to a wide variety of organizations including Allstate, Cap Gemini Ernst and Young, GTE-Verizon, Roadway Express, Nutrimental, World Vision, Cleveland Clinic, Imagine Chicago, American Red Cross and the United Religions Initiative. David has designed a series of dialogues using AI among 25 of the world's top religious leaders. He was recognized as among "the top ten visionaries" in 2000 in the field by Training Magazine , and has been named in Five Hundred People of Influence .
